Testing and enhancement of CCI 450 Primers is a continuous process for the company. Because of this, CCI 450 primers are more sensitive, easier to seat, and more suited for use with both progressive and automatic loading equipment than they were in prior generations. It is their goal to achieve the cleanest possible burn by using non-corrosive and non-mercuric initiator mixes that are current in the industry.

The CCI 450 Small Rifle Primers are a box of 1000   that are used to reload magnum small rifle cartridges in the CCI 450 Small Rifle Primers. Magnum primers are designed for use with large-capacity casings, extremely low temperatures, and/or ball propellants, among other things.

CCI 450 primers make use of non-corrosive and non-mercuric initiator mixtures that have been chosen for their ability to burn cleanly and efficiently. All CCI primers have a bigger anvil area to accommodate for weapons that may have an off-centre firing pin, and they are designed to flow smoothly through automated reloading equipment, which is a feature seen on all CCI primers.
